HULL 400 ‘OLYMPIC’ - 1909
Painted in a brilliant white, White Star Line’s spectacular new liner slid down the slipway at Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast on October 20 1910. Olympic became the world’s largest steamer and thus began a stellar career that would span three decades.
HULL 401 ‘TITANIC’
When Titanic was launched she didn’t receive as much media attention as her older sister Olympic. Regardless, her hull would go on to tower over Belfast city’s skyline for months during the fit-out process.
