from A$50.00
At the time of her launch, Strathnaver was a huge leap forward for P&O. Not only was she the company’s biggest liner, but no expense was spared on her interior fit-out. Before the Second World War she operated a successful tourism trade to Australia before serving, like her sisters, as a troop-ship. After the war she was instrumental in implementing the ‘Ten-Pound Pom’ scheme carrying thousands of British immigrants to Australia.
